ABOUT Soyachunks vegetable pulao RECIPE

One of the tastiest mixed vegetable pulao that one can make. Soya help to increase intake of protein in the diet. The low-calorie soya delicacy is a favourite with nutritionists. Its high protein and heart- protective compounds make a healthy addition to the regular pulao.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Rice 1cup
  2. soya chunks 1/2cup
  3. Chopped vegetable 1/2 cup
  4. Cumin seeds 1tsp
  5. Chopped onion 1no
  6. Chopped green chilli 2no
  7. Ginger garlic paste 1tsp
  8. Mint leaves 2tbsp
  9. Lemon juice 1/2of a lemon
  10. Salt as per taste
  11. Oil 1tsp
  12. Chopped coriander leaves 2tbsp
  13. For masala powder -
  14. Cumin seeds 1tsp
  15. Coriander seeds 1tsp
  16. Fennel seeds 1tsp
  17. Black pepper 7-8
  18. Cinnamon 1 "
  19. Cardamom 2
  20. Cloves 4
  21. Star anise 1
  22. Bayleaf 1

Instructions

  1. DRY ROAST.
  2. COOL A BIT AND GRIND TO A POWDER.
  3. HEAT OIL IN A PRESSURE COOKER AND ADD CUMIN SEEDS.
  4. CHOPPED ONIONS, GREEN CHILLI AND SAUTE FOR A MINUTE. .
  5. ADD GINGER GARLIC PASTE, MIX WELL AND COOK FOR 2MINS.
  6. ADD TO THE COOKER.
  7. MIX WELL.
  8. ADD SALT.
  9. ADD 1TSP OF THE PREPARED MASALA POWDER.
  10. MIX WELL AND COOK FOR 3-4MINS.
  11. ADD CHOPPED MINT LEAVES AND MIX.
  12. ADD THE WASHED RICE(1CUP) AND MIX.
  13. ADD 2CUPS WATER.
  14. ADD SALT TO TASTE, MIX.
  15. COVER AND COOK FOR 3 WHISTLES ON MEDIUM HEAT.
  16. LET THE PRESSURE SUBSIDES ITSELF AND THEN OPEN THE LID.
  17. ADD LEMON JUICE AND
  18. CORIANDER LEAVES AND MIX LIGHTLY.
