Buttery buttery mutton gravy which tastes best with pulao and flatbreads . A finger licking dish .

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For Marination :
  2. Mutton 1/2 kg
  3. Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  4. Red chilli powder 2 teaspoons
  5. Ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  6. Garam Masala Powder 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Salt 1 teaspoon
  8. For gravy :
  9. butter 3 tablespoons
  10. Onions medium sized 4 finely chopped
  11. Ripe tomatoes big sized 3 puréed to a smooth paste .
  12. Cilantros finely chopped 1 cup
  13. Cashew paste in fresh cream 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Take 1/2 kg cleaned mutton in a bowl .
  2. Let’s marinate with a teaspoon turmeric powder,
  3. 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste,
  4. 2 teaspoons red chilli powder,
  5. 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder,
  6. 1 teaspoon salt .
  7. Mix ingredients with fingers for better masala absorption. Marinate for 20 minutes .
  8. After 20 minutes ,
  9. Heat 2 to 3 tablespoons butter in a heavy based pan.
  10. Add the marinated mutton and fry till colour changes .
  11. Add 4 finely chopped onions .
  12. Use 3 ripe tomatoes to extract tomato purée. Add to the meat .
  13. Add 1 cup finely chopped cilantros .
  14. Add 1 cup cashew paste and fresh cream .
  15. Cover and cook the meat for 20 minutes in medium heat till mutton is done . Stir occasionally.
  16. Mutton Makhani is ready to serve . Relish with pulaos/ flatbreads.
