ABOUT BBQ Fried Cheesy Chicken RECIPE

Delicious cheese stuffed chicken fried and coated with BBQ sauce. Serve as appetizers, main dish or in burger

Ingredients Serving: 4

4 chicken breast
1.5 cups buttermilk
1 tbsp salt
1.5 cup flour
4 small blocks of cheddar cheese
For Spice Mix:
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp pepper
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp chili flakes
1 tbsp salt
For Sauce
1/4 cup tomato purée
1 cup tomato ketchup
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 tbsp Butter
Oil for frying

Instructions

Make a large incision in the thicker end of each chicken breast. Insert a piece of sliced cheddar. Season the buttermilk with salt and coat the stuffed chicken breasts in buttermilk mixture. Marinade for 1-2 hours. Drain excess marination and keep chicken aside
Mix spices in a bowl keep aside. In a bowl, add flour and mix half of the spices. Reserve the remaining for later
Coat the chicken with flour spice mixture on both sides well and deep fry. Keep it aside
In a non stick pan, melt butter, add reserved spices and tomato puree. Cook until puree leaves edges. Now add the sauces, vinegar and sugar. Mix well. Cook until sauce thickens. Switch off
Coat the chicken well with sauce and serve warm
