Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. ½ cup soaked bengal gram
  2. water as required
  3. Wheat flour 1 cup
  4. Refine 3 spoon
  5. Mustard oil for frying
  6. Salt as per taste
  7. Kalonji ⅛ spoon
  8. Cumin ⅛ spoon
  9. Green chilly paste ⅛ spoon
  10. Garam masala ½ spoon
  11. Dried mango powder ¼ spoon
  12. Red chilli powder ¼ spoon

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook bengal gram for 1 whistle
  2. Drain excess water
  3. Heat 1 spoon refine in a pan
  4. Add cumin and green chilli
  5. Add boiled pulse
  6. Saute for 2 minutes on medium flame
  7. Add salt and other spices except kalonji
  8. Mix well
  9. Mash a little with spoon
  10. Turn off the flame and let it cool
  11. Mix flour,salt,kalonji and 2 spoon oil in a bowl
  12. Knead a soft dough with water
  13. Knead well
  14. Make 6 big balls from dough
  15. Flatten one of the ball into 3 inch circle.
  16. Place 2 spoon stuffing in it
  17. Carefully bring all the edges of the dough to seal the stuffing well.
  18. Flatten this into small circles making sure the stuffing does not fall apart. 
  19. Heat oil in a wok
  20. Fry puris carefully
  21. Serve hot with chutney.
