Rajma chawal is one of the favorite dish of mine from my mothers kitchen i love it and i think every one loves it

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rajma(kidney beans) 2 cups
  2. 2 small size potatoes
  3. Salt as per taste
  4. Onion 2 large size
  5. 3 tomatoes
  6. Ginger piece 1 inch
  7. 8-10 garlic
  8. 1 green chilli
  9. 1 spoon Cumin seeds
  10. Fenugreek leaves half a cup finely chopped
  11. Termeric powder 1/2 spoon
  12. Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  13. Coriander powder 1 spoon
  14. Garam masala 1 spoon
  15. 1/2 cup oil
  16. Water as per required
  17. Coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  18. Curry leaves 8-10
  19. Cooked rice for serving with rajma

Instructions

  1. Wash rajma for remove dust.
  2. Soak the rajma for 5-6 hours
  3. After that drain the water, transfer the kidney beans into pressure cooker, add 2 peeled potatoes, 1 tbsp salt and 1 1/2 cup of water
  4. Close the lid and cook for around 4-5 whistle, don't open the lid immediately.
  5. Heat half a cup oil in a pan, over medium flame
  6. Add cumin seeds and green chilli, add 1 finely chopped onion and fry it add fenugreek leaves
  7. Make a fine paste with another onion and pour it over fried onion and soute it for 5 minutes in medium flame
  8. Add ginger garlic paste and soute for 2 minuts
  9. Add all masalas and fry it
  10. Add tomato puri and mix it well with onion.
  11. Cook it untill the oil looks on surface.
  12. Mash the potatoes and add it into the gravy paste add rajma and mix it well
  13. Add 2 cups of water cook untill the gravy gets thicken.
  14. Close the gas add coriander leaves over it serve hot with rice.
