ABOUT Rajma (Kidney Beans) RECIPE

Rajma is a hot favourite curry amongst north indians mainly the Punjabi community... In my house its a must twice a week because my family is crazy about Rajma chawal... Well the main ingredient that makes Rajma so yummy n tasty is our 'Tomato' . Without tomatoes Rajma wont taste that good . So here's my recipe of Rajma n hope you all try n like it..

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Rajma (soaked over
  2. night ) + boiled next
  3. morning.
  4. Tomatoes - pureed 6-7
  5. no.s ...
  6. Onions - minced 2 no.s
  7. Ginger garlic paste -
  8. 1 tsp..
  9. Green chillies slit 5-6
  10. Coriander Powder - 2 tbsp
  11. Red Chili powder to taste
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Garam masala - 1 tsp
  14. Turmeric powder- 1/3 tsp
  15. Sabut jeera -1tsp
  16. Big cardamom - 1 no.
  17. Refined oil - 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in big pan .
  2. Add the khada
  3. masala..
  4. Add the minced
  5. onions...
  6. Saute till pinkish in
  7. color...
  8. Now add ginger n
  9. garlic paste...
  10. Saute for 2 minutes.
  11. Add the pureed
  12. tomatoes..
  13. Add the green chillies
  14. Now add the dry
  15. masalas..
  16. Cook on slow flame
  17. till the sides leave oil..
  18. Add the boiled Rajma
  19. now.. mix well...
  20. Now add enough to
  21. make desired Rasa..
  22. Adjust salt and spices.
  23. Bring Rajma to boil ..
  24. Cook on high for 5
  25. minutes..
  26. Now switch of the gas
  27. Rajma is ready to be
  28. served ..
  29. Garnish with fresh
  30. cilantro..
