Wash and soak urad dal and rice for 6 hours separately.

Apply chutney and present.
Different types of idlies: In the place of white rice we can use different millets to make it traditionally healthy. 1.Jowar 2.Ragi 3. Bajra 4.Brownrice In the place of urad Dal we can try below pulses: 1.Green Gram (Moong Dal 2. Chana Dal 3.Soya beans 4.Rajma 5.Black eye beans.
With sane batter we can make ootappam, dosa or aappams.
