ABOUT Cauliflower pakoda.{ Mom's 50 yrs old recepie with pride) RECIPE

Cauliflower Manchurian became popular 25 yrs back but my Mom was preparing this pakoda when I was 8 to 10 yrs old. From gram flour batter we started using All purpose flour and I use wheat flour to make Manchurian.so here is the Original recepie of Cauliflower Pakoda.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Cauliflower florets chopped to desired size. 2 cups
  2. Gram flour 1 1/2 cup
  3. Ginger grated 1 tbsp
  4. Garlic crushed 1 tbsp
  5. Pudina leaves crushed in mortle and pestle 15 no.
  6. Chilli powder 1 tbsp
  7. Turmeric 1 tsp
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Baking soda 1/6 tsp
  10. Oil for frying.

Instructions

  1. Wash Cauliflower florets .
  2. Add salt, ginger, garlic, crushed Purina leaves.
  3. Add 1 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric,
  4. Mix well using hand. Keep for marination for half an hour.
  5. Till that make gram flour batter by adding salt, chilli powder and turmeric.
  6. Heat oil in a pan. Add 1 tbsp hot oil and baking soda to batter.
  7. Dip cauliflower florets one by one in batter.
  8. Fry on slow heat to allow cauliflower to cook well.
  9. Enjoy with Tomato ketchup and pickled onion.
