ABOUT Kande Poha RECIPE

Poha is an easy to make recipe with onions and tomato.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Thick Poha 2 cup
  2. Big Tomato 1
  3. Big onion 1
  4. Green chillies 3
  5. Coriander leaves
  6. Curry leaves 6-7
  7. Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  8. Jeera 1/4 tsp
  9. Urad daal 1 tbsp
  10. Peanut 2 tbsp
  11. Salt
  12. Lemon 1/2
  13. Sugar 1 tsp
  14. Haldi 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Take water, add 1/2 tsp salt and soak the washed poha for 1 minute. Transfer the soaked poha to a strainer and add little salt and sugar, mix it well and keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add in mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let them crackle.
  3. Then add urad daal, peanuts and roast for a few seconds. Add the chopped green chillies, curry leaves into it. Add chopped onions and saute for a few seconds.
  4. Add tomatoes,salt as per taste, sugar and saute it for a few seconds. Add turmeric powder and mix it well. Turn off the flame, add in lemon juice, coriander leaves, poha into it. Mix the poha well.
  5. Serve this hot poha for breakfast.
