ABOUT Mince fry (Beef) RECIPE

A classic Anglo-Indian dish.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 kg mince beef or mutton/chicken
  2. 3 tbsp oil
  3. 2 medium-sized onion
  4. 1 large sized tomato
  5. 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  6. Whole spice- Cloves (5)
  7. Cinnamon- 1 inch stick
  8. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  9. 1 tsp coriander powder
  10. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  11. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  12. 1 tsp garam masala powder/curry powder
  13. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil and add the cloves and cinnamon.
  2. Add the onion with a pinch of salt and saute till it's translucent. Then add the ginger-garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes away.
  3. Add all the powders (except the garam masala) chilli, tumeric, cummin, coriander, and salt. Saute for about 4 mins.
  4. Once the masala is cooked, add the raw meat and coat it with the masala. Next, add the tomato.
  5. Add 1/2 cup of water and close the lid. Let it cook for about 10 mins.
  6. Now add the garam masala and cook for another 5 mins.
