ABOUT Mango Custard Halwa RECIPE

I just hate Summer when it comes to heat same time I wait for this terrible season so that I can eat Mangoes. Who doesn't love Mangoes, we can actually makes of end number of recipe with Mangoes whether its Raw or Ripe Mango. Being a Keralite we never get tired to try new recipe with any fruits and here I have tried Mango Custard Halwa which turned out to be very yummy. Lets see the recipe

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Mango - 2 ripe ( wash cut and make pure with Sugar)
  2. Sugar- 1 1/2 cup
  3. Ghee- 1 cup
  4. Cardamom- 4 nos make a powder and set aside
  5. Custard Powder(Venilla Flavor)- 1cup
  6. Mango Essence- 1 tsp
  7. Corn flour- 1 tbsp ( dilute in cold water and set aside) make a watery liquid
  8. Cashew nuts- a handful

Instructions

  1. Keep all the ingredients ready in front of you, as while cooking your hand should be busy stirring continuously in order to avoid any lumps
  2. Now heat any deep pan add little ghee and start cooking mango sugar puree in low flame stirring continuously. Cook for 7-8 mins.
  3. Now add Cardamom powder and stir again.Add little ghee and stir well.
  4. Add essence and mix again for 5 mins
  5. Add custard powder and stir well until it incorporate well with Mango paste.Add little ghee and stir well.
  6. Add few chopped cashew nuts and mix well. Keep remaining cashew for garnishing.
  7. Now add cornflour paste and stir nicely until mango starts rolling like ball in the pan, keep adding little ghee while mixing Mango.
  8. Greace plate or steel box with ghee and pour this cooked mango in the box, spread nicely with the help of spoon, apply little ghee on the back of spoon to smoothen top layer and flatten nicely.
  9. Garnish with cashew and set inside the freeze for 2 hours
  10. After 2 hours, check if you halwa is ready to cut
  11. Now you can cut your halwa in pieces and serve your guest
