Bengalies mostly use fried fish for their various type of fish recipes. Frying fish is a regular practice for every bengalies in their kitchen.Tasty fish fry can be serve as starter as well. Here i have tried the bengali spices in whole fish.

Ingredients Serving: 2

Fish ( Red snapper) - 1 big
Chili powder 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1/8 teaspoon
Coriander powder 1/4 teaspoon
Black Pepper - 1 teaspoon
Fresh Fenugreek leaves 1 teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon
Garam masala 1/2 teaspoon
Lime 1/2 for lime juice
Mustard oil for frying 1 1/2 teaspoon
salt as needed

Instructions

Marinate fish with ginger garlic paste chili powder turmeric powder salt coriander powder and garam masala
Marinate under refrigeration for 20-30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan add pepper and mix well. Then add fish
Let it cook for a few mins.
Flip the fish over gently then pour the remaining marinade onto fish and let it cook till the meat is flaky.
Before taking off flames, garnish with lime juice and fenugreek leaves.
Serve hot with rice or mashed potatoes or roties
