ABOUT Lal Maath bhaji/ Red Amaranth RECIPE

Healthy leafy vegetable,popular of Maharashtra and Goa.Tastes great with garlic, onion tadka! Rich in iron and minerals ideal for all age groups.Use green chillies or whole red in baghaar.Add fresh coconut while cooking and sprinkle to garnish some too.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 bunch Lal Maat/red amaranth op
  2. 1 medium onion
  3. 1 whole red chilli
  4. 1tspn crushed garlic
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 1/2 cup coconut powder/fresh grated
  7. 1 tblspn Oil(i used rice oil)

Instructions

  1. Wash very well and chop roughly
  2. Heat oil, cummin,saute onion and garlic
  3. Add salt red chilli,and. Cup of water
  4. Pressure cook 15 minutes
  5. Open cooker add half the coconut and mix well
  6. Saute 2 minutes if water remains
  7. Put of flame and remove to serve ,garnish with coconut powder
