ABOUT Methi Khichdi RECIPE

This methi khichidi is the most popular in north side it is specially cooked in the winter season for the morning breakfast.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Methi 1 1/2 cup soaked for 12 hours
  2. 3 cup basmati rice
  3. 2 big potatoes cut into 8 pieces
  4. 2 green chillies, chopped
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Oil 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Remove excess water in a bowl.
  2. Heat oil in the pressure cooker.
  3. Add in the soaked methi and fry till the methi color changes.
  4. Add green chillies, potatoes, salt and saute it for 2 minutes on a low flame.
  5. Add rice and little water to cook it on 3 whistle.
  6. Serve hot with green chutney.
