Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Chopped makhana 2 cups
  2. Ghee 1 tbsp
  3. Milk 2 cups
  4. Milk powder 60 gm or 8 tbsp
  5. Sugar 3 tbsp
  6. Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
  7. Chopped mix dry fruits ( cashews , almonds , pistachios , chironji ) 2 tbsp
  8. Saffron 1 pinch

Instructions

  1. Cut one makhana into three or four pieces, chop all makhana in the same way .
  2. Roast the makhana with ghee very well. Keep aside .
  3. Soak the saffron in 1 tsp lukewarm water.
  4. Boil the milk in a pan add milk powder little at a time and mix well . Add makhana and let it boil till looks like kheer. Add sugar, dry fruits, saffron water and cardamom powder, after 5 minutes turn off the flame .
