Spicy Mangalore bhel with crispy murmura in a coconut mixture with onions, sambar powder and coconut oil.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 3 cups murmura/puffed rice
  2. 1/2 cup fresh grated coconut
  3. 1 to 2 tsp sambar powder
  4. 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  5. 1/4 cup finely chopped red onions
  6. 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
  7. 2 to 3 tbsp coconut oil
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Optional:
  10. Grated raw mango
  11. Grated carrots
  12. Roasted peanuts

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, add grated coconut ,sambar powder, green onions, red onions, coriander leaves, coconut oil and salt to taste.
  2. Give it a good mix, do a taste test and adjust sambar powder and salt.
  3. Stir in crispy murmura into the coconut mixture and mix well with your hands. Serve immediately with hot chai/coffee!
