Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Groundnuts 350gms
  2. Chickpeas / Besan flour 3 tablespoons
  3. Rice flour 3 tablespoons
  4. Ginger , garlic , g. chilli paste 1 teaspoon
  5. Hing a big pinch
  6. Kashmiri red chilli powder 2 teaspoons
  7. Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Salt as taste
  9. Lime juice 1/4 teaspoon
  10. Oil for deep frying
  11. Water 1/4 glass .

Instructions

  1. In a bowl , add chickpeas flour , rice flour , salt , ginger garlic green chilli paste , hing , Kashmiri chilli powder , coriander powder . lime juice and mix all together to a smooth paste consistency .
  2. Add little water to adjust the consistency of the prepared batter . The batter shouldn’t be too tight nor too runny as well .
  3. Now add the peanuts to this batter . Mix well so that the peanuts are finely coated with masala ( batter ) .
  4. Heat a wok , heat oil for frying . Add the masala coated peanuts into the hot oil . Reduce the flame and fry for 2 minutes till the peanuts turn to beautiful golden red colour ( Red colour is because of the Kashmiri red chilli powder ) . In case you use ordinary chilli powder , you may get golden brown peanuts . Tats fine too .
  5. Fry the peanuts both the sides and remove the fried peanuts from the hot oil . Drain out excess oil .
  6. Serve hot with a cup of hot beverage .
