ABOUT Masala Peanuts RECIPE

Traditional recipe Deep fried Peanuts coated with some flours and spices.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Peanuts 1 cup
  2. Chickpea flour (besan) 2 tbsp
  3. Rice flour 1 tbsp
  4. Urad flour 1/2 tsp
  5. salt as per taste
  6. Oil 1 tsp + oil for frying
  7. Garam masala 1 tsp
  8. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  10. Ginger garlic paste (optional) 1 tsp
  11. few curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Wash peanuts and soak in salty water for 15 -20 minutes then strain.
  2. Remove moisture
  3. In a big bowl mix all dry ingredients except curry leaves and add oil and peanuts. Sprinkle little water at a time.
  4. the batter should be dry. it shouldn't like the batter for pakoda
  5. Mix with your fingers until each peanut is coated with masala. Deep fry peanuts
  6. Deep fry peanuts by dropping one by one. Fry on low-medium heat till golden brown
  7. Remove and transfer to a kitchen towel/paper
  8. Fry some curry leaves and add to the fried peanuts.
  9. Let peanuts cool completely then keep in airtight container.
  10. Enjoy with Tea
