ABOUT Beetroot and Tomato Jam RECIPE

My mother's own recipe . A good spread for bread, dosa, curd rice etc

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 3 medium tomatoes
  2. 1 medium beetroot
  3. Sugar 3/4th cup
  4. Cardamom 1/2tsp
  5. 1tsp ghee

Instructions

  1. Peel beetroot slice and pressure cook.
  2. Add a tsp of ghee in thick bottom kadai or non stick vessel.Saute the tomatoes and peel the skin.
  3. Remove the pressure cooked beetroot and add it to the tomatoes. Smash both until smooth texture forms. Add the sugar and cook until a jam consistancy forms finally add cardamom powder.Cool and store in bottle
