ABOUT CHICKEN SEEKH KEBABS RECIPE

Chicken seekh kebabs are prepared in the oven. This dish is also populor in Middle Eastern countries and brought by Mughal rulers who came from Persia and Afghanistan.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken mince - 500 gms.
  2. Medium size onions( finely chopped) - 2
  3. Ginger piece - 2 tablespoon.
  4. Green Chilly (finely chopped) - 2
  5. Coriander bunch - 1/2 (chopped plus extra)
  6. Chaat Masala - 1 teaspoon.
  7. Red Chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon.
  8. Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp.
  9. Cumin powder - 1 tsp.
  10. Salt to taste.
  11. Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp.
  12. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  13. Melted butter - 2 tablespoons.
  14. Greek yogurt - 2 tbs.
  15. Lemon zest - 1 or 2

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the mince onion, ginger,chilly, red chilli powder, cumin powder,coriander powder, garam masala,salt and pepper, Greek yogurt and lemon zest.
  2. Mix with hand until everything is in corporated but don't over work it.
  3. Cover with foil and let marinate in refrigerator for at least an hour and up to six hours.
  4. Preheat the oven 200°c for 10 mins.
  5. Scoop out a big ball of the meat mixture and pierce it through the skewers , spread the meat on the skewer with your hands.
  6. Press the middle finger in a diagonal angle down the meat skewer to make kebab.
  7. Bake kebabs for 20 - 25 mins, rotating as needed to brown the kebabs all around. If the kebabs are getting dry, brush butter or oil.
  8. Serve and enjoy.
