Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken Sausages 300 gms
  2. For the Marinade :
  3. Yogurt 2 Tbsp
  4. Besan (Dry Roasted) 2 Tbsp (Gramflour)
  5. Roasted Cumin Powder 1/2 Tsp
  6. Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  7. Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  8. Red Chili Powder 1 Tsp
  9. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  10. Mustard Oil 1 & 1/2 Tbsp
  11. Tikka Masala 1 Tsp
  12. Food Color (Optional)
  13. **[Please note that I have not added salt here as my sausages were already salted]
  14. For the Gravy :
  15. Yogurt 5 Tbsp
  16. Green Chilies 5-6
  17. Medium sized onions 2
  18. Ginger Garlic paste 2 tbsp
  19. Refined Oil 5 Tbsp
  20. Roasted Cumin Powder 1/2 Tsp
  21. Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  22. Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  23. Red Chili Powder 1 Tsp
  24. Tikka Masala 1 Tsp
  25. Tomato Ketchup 1 Tbsp
  26. Food Color (Optional)
  27. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Thaw the sausages and cut into 1” sized chunks (As shown the picture).
  2. Marinate the sausage pieces with the marinating ingredients for 1-2 hours.
  3. Grill the marinated sausage pieces in a tandoor on high flame till they are properly roasted. Ensure to brush them occasionally with melted butter.
  4. Chop 2 Medium sized onions and 5-6 Green Chilies and make a paste in a mixer.
  5. In a Wok, heat 5 Tbsp Refined Oil, add in the Onion Green Chili paste.
  6. Add 2 Tbsp Ginger Garlic paste. Fry on Medium flame till the rawness of the paste is gone.
  7. Now add ½ Tsp Cumin Powder, ½ Tsp Coriander Powder, ½ Tsp Garam Masala Powder, 1 Tsp Red Chili Powder and 1 Tsp Tikka Masala.
  8. Fry on Medium flame till the gravy begins to leave oil from the sides.
  9. Add 1 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup. Now, Mix 5 Tbsp Yogurt with 2 Tbsp Water and add it to the gravy. Add the Salt and Food Color (Optional). Stir Well.
  10. When the Gravy is almost of desired consistency, add in the roasted Sausage Chunks.
  11. Increase the flame to high and thicken the gravy to desired consistency while stirring continuously.
  12. Enjoy with Rice, Roti or Naan.
