ABOUT Beetroot upma RECIPE

Very healthy and quick recipe. Looks attractive and great idea to feed fussy kids those don't like beetroot.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sooji/rawa 1cup roasted
  2. Chopped chilli 1no
  3. Sliced onion 1no big
  4. Greenpeas 1/2cup
  5. Beetroot 1 no boiled and pureed
  6. Mustard seeds 1/2tsp
  7. Urad daal 1/2tsp
  8. Chana daal 1/2tsp
  9. Curry leaves 1spring
  10. Curd 1/2cup
  11. Oil 1tsp
  12. Salt as per taste
  13. Chopped coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, daals, green chilli, onion. Saute.
  2. Add 1cup water, when it starts to boil, add green peas or any veggies of your choice.
  3. Add salt, sooji, mix well so that no lumps will be there.
  4. Add curd and mix well.
  5. Add beetroot puree.
  6. Finally add chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot.
