Khichri is going to be come our national food.No dish can compare with khichri because it is absolute comfort food.as we have it our mother and grand mother's memories occupy us.let's enjoy it.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup soaked rice
  2. 1 cup soaked chana daal
  3. 1/2 cup curd
  4. 2 chopped green chilli
  5. 2 tsp chopped ginger
  6. 6-7 cashew nuts
  7. 8-10 kishmis
  8. Coriander leaves
  9. 1 tbsp ghee+1tsp ghee
  10. 1 tbsp oil
  11. 5-6 whole peppercorns
  12. 2 cardmon
  13. 4 cloves
  14. 2 bay leafs
  15. 1 stick of cinnemon
  16. salt as per taste
  17. 1 tsp haldi
  18. 1 tsp garam masala
  19. Water as required

Instructions

  1. Heat wok and add oil and ghee
  2. Add all whole spices
  3. Then add cashews and roast little
  4. Stir carefully
  5. Add green chilli and soaked chanadaal
  6. Now take spices except garam masala and add
  7. Add water and cover wok
  8. Cook 5 min.
  9. Then whisk curd and add it
  10. Now add rice and mix
  11. Add half cup water
  12. Cover and cook till rice became ready
  13. Add kishmish and garam masala
  14. Add 1 tsp ghee
  15. Now garnish with coriander leaves
