ABOUT Banana appam RECIPE

This deep fried banana fritters will make you satisfied for its taste and easy preparation without the use of refined white sugar

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Ripe banana - 3
  2. Maida/all purpose flour - 1/2 cup
  3. Cane sugar - 1/4 cup
  4. Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  5. Baking soda - a pinch
  6. Salt - a pinch
  7. Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Mash the bananas and add cane sugar to it. Mix well together until the cane sugar dissolves.
  2. Mix flour, salt,cardamom powder,baking soda together and add it to the banana mixture.
  3. Combine well together and leave it to rest for 1 hour.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry small balls of the batter in medium flame so that the inner part is well cooked.
  5. Serve hot . Instead of all purpose flour, you can use whole wheat flour too.
