This curry is specially made in winter. You can also said winter delight. Cholia is rich in vitamin C,E,K, and flavonoids.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Choliya 2 cup
  2. Potatoes 2 large chopped
  3. Onion 1 chopped
  4. Ginger 2 tablespoon chopped
  5. Garlic 3 tablespoon chopped
  6. Green chillies slitted 2
  7. Tomato puree 2 large tomato
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Red chilli powder 2 teaspoon
  10. Turmeric Powder 1 teaspoon
  11. Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  12. Dry mango powder 1 teaspoon
  13. Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  14. Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  15. Cloves 3
  16. Cinnamon sticks 1
  17. Ghee 3 tablespoon
  18. Water 2 cup
  19. Coriander leaves for garnishing
  20. Dough for.making roti

Instructions

  1. Make puree of onion, ginger and garlic. Heat a pressure cooker add ghee and add cumin seeds, cloves, and cinnamon sticks roast it for 2 minutes.add onion puree and saute it. Cook till masala leaves oil.
  2. Add tomato puree and saute it till masala leaves oil. Add red chili powder , turmeric powder and salt. Add dry mango powder , coriander powder. Mix well. Saute it for 2 minutes.
  3. Now add choliya and saute it for 5 minutes. Add chopped potatoes and mix well. After 3 minutes add water and close the lid of pressure cooker and cook till 3 whistles.
  4. When it is cool down open lid and add coriander leaves and garam masala powder.mix well.
  5. Your masala choliya curry is ready to serve. Serve it with roti or rice. Make a dough ball and flatten it and cook in tandoor. Your tandoori roti is ready to Serve with choliya curry.
