ABOUT Tri dal vada RECIPE

This crispy vada made of three varieties of dal is healthy and tasty one.it is a must to do reciepe in all traditional festivals of tamilnadu and making it reminds me of my childhood days.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Channa dal -1 1/2 cup
  2. Urad dal -1/4 cup
  3. Toor dal -1/2 cup
  4. Green chilly -3
  5. Red chilly -4
  6. Asefetodia - 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Salt as required
  8. Curry leaves handful
  9. Coriander leaves handful

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak all three dals together in water for 2 hours.
  2. Drain the water and take a hand ful of dal an keep it separately.
  3. grind the remaining dals coarsely in mixie along with green chilli red chillies salt and asefotida . Donot add water while grinding .
  4. Now transfer the ground dal in a vessel and add the handful of dal taken and kept separately.Also add coriander and curry leaves to it and mix well
  5. In a kadai add oil and when hot take a lemon size mixture of batter sightly flatten it and drop in oil.
  6. Deep fry golden in medium flame. Repeat for rest of vadas too.
  7. Serve hot with coconut chutney
