ABOUT Dal Vada RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup Channa Dal
  2. 1 tbsp cumin powder
  3. 1 dry red chilly
  4. 1 tbsp chopped green chilly
  5. Salt to taste
  6. stock of curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Soak channa dal for atleast 1 1/2 hour in warm water. Drain dal and put into blender. Add cumin powder, dry red chilly, salt and blend to a coarse paste.
  2. Add chopped green chilly and curry leaves to dal paste and mix it well.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan. Start rolling small portion of mixture into round shaped vada and drop into oil.
  4. Deep fry till it turns golden brown colour. Place vadas on kitchen napkin to drain excess oil.
  5. Dal Vada is ready. Enjoy it along with chutney or chai as you wish.
