ABOUT sabudana khichdi RECIPE

My all time favourite sabudana khichdi, fasting or non fasting, have to love this with curd.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 1/2 cup sabudana
  2. 2 medium boiled potatoes
  3. 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
  4. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  5. 1 tbsp ghee
  6. 1 tsp sugar
  7. 1 tsp lemon juice
  8. salt, to taste
  9. 1 tsp black pepper powder
  10. 1-2 green chillies
  11. coriander, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Soak sabudana in adequate water for 1 hour.
  2. Wash and drain the sabudana in a sieve and keep aside for half hr, add lemon juice and sugar.
  3. In a wok, heat ghee and add cumin seeds.
  4. As they crackle, add chopped potatoes, green chillies and crushed peanuts.
  5. Add salt to taste and sauté for 1-2 mins.
  6. Add the sabudana and add more salt and black pepper powder ,mix well.
  7. Cover and cook on low flame for 2-3 mins till sabudana are soft and cooked.
  8. Add coriander leaves and serve.
