Sprouty, Egg-licious, Couscous Burger.

ABOUT Sprouty, Egg-licious, Couscous Burger. RECIPE

Any food that releases energy quickly to the blood stream gives you feeling of comfort. Than why not choose healthy ? Couscous is rich in Vitamins and minerals, strengthen your bones, muscles and immune system. It also improves your blood circulation. I have added Sprouts in it. And an egg slice too.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Couscous 1/2 bowl.
  2. Oil 1 tsp ( for adding in couscous while cooking)
  3. Sprouts 1 bowl. ( Coarsely ground)
  4. Grated Carrots 1/2 cup ( 1 big carrot)
  5. French beans chopped fine and steamed.
  6. Mint leaves 15 no.( Chopped fine)
  7. Coriander leaves half bunch.( 50 grms) chopped fine.
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Pepper powder 1 tsp
  10. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  11. Green chilli paste / red chili powder 3/4 tsp.( to taste )
  12. Coriander powder 2 tsp
  13. Garam masala 1 tsp
  14. Ginger grated 1 tsp
  15. Garlic crushed 1 1/2 tsp
  16. Sesame seeds roasted 2 tsp
  17. Roasted ground chickpeas ( daliya) 2 tbsp
  18. 1 egg yolk per burger
  19. 1 egg white per burger
  20. Burger buns 4
  21. Butter 3 tbsp
  22. Cheese slice 4
  23. Green Chutney 1/2 bowl.
  24. Mayonnaise 4 tbsp ( fun foods)
  25. Tomato sauce 1/2 bowl.
  26. Lettuce leaves few.
  27. oil 2 tbsp
  28. Oil for shallow frying.

Instructions

  1. Boil 3/ 4 th cup of water..
  2. Add Salt and oil( 1 tsp). As water boils turn off the heat.
  3. Add couscous, mix a little and cover the pan.keep covered for 15 minutes.
  4. Pressure cook Sprouts for 1 whistle./ You can steam also. Let cool.
  5. Fluff the cooked Couscous with a fork.
  6. Take out in a bowl. Add Sprouts, French beans.
  7. Add grated Carrots, Mint leaves, Coriander leaves.
  8. Add Daliya ( roasted split chickpeas), Ginger , Garlic, Chilli.
  9. Add all other masala mentioned. Add sesame seeds too. Mix everything well in a bowl.
  10. Add oil and form a Pattie. Heat oil in non-stick pan and fry your patties.
  11. Till that separate egg white from yolk. Add salt and pepper to egg yolk and make an Omelette in butter.
  12. Keep checking your patties. Flip over as one side is cooked.
  13. Take out on an absorbent paper.
  14. Take green chutney ( freshly prepared or you can prepare in advance)
  15. Cut your burger bun horizontally.
  16. Mix egg white , add salt. Deep your lower half of burger in it ( both sides) and roast in butter on a non-stick griddle.
  17. Roast other half too.
  18. Assembling burger.
  19. Take lower half of the bun , Spread green chutney.
  20. Now keep an egg yolk Omelette on it.
  21. Now keep lettuce, spread tomato sauce than your Pattie.
  22. Apply mayonnaise to the upper half of the bun.
  23. Cover your prepared burger with it and enjoy The Most Healthy Magicle burger of the day.
