Its a very popular dish in Maharashtrian cusine..which is not only a well balanced meal which can be made at any time of the day and with the avaliable and mostly liked or unliked ingredients from our kitchen.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Jowar flour 1/4 cup
  2. Besan 2tbsp
  3. Whole wheat flour 1/2 cup
  4. Rice flour 1/2cup
  5. Ragi flour 2tbsp
  6. Ginger garlic paste 1-1/2 tsp
  7. Coriander and cumin pwd 2 tsp
  8. Green chilli paste 1tsp
  9. Ajawain 1 tsp
  10. Sesame seeds 1tsp
  11. Vegetables of your own choice 1-1/2 cup
  12. Fresh coriander as per your taste
  13. Green leafy vegetables your choice 1/2 cup
  14. Salt as per taste
  15. Oil as per required for frying

Instructions

  1. Get all the vegetables in a bowl.
  2. Now add all the spices and salt to it accept the flours.
  3. Mix them well..
  4. you will see that after adding salt ro the vegetables they start giving out water now you add your flours in it and knead a soft dough..
  5. Don't add any water to the mixture in the start as the vegetables have a lots of water in which is sufficient to form a dough. But it also depends on what vegetables you have taken.
  6. You can add water as required to form a soft dough
  7. Now place a pan or tava on the gas to heat it
  8. Grease it with some oil
  9. Now on a platform take a butter paper or a handkerchief apply some water on it...
  10. Place a portion od the kneaded dough on it and with the help of your fingers press it to make a small chapati
  11. Make holes in the center and in between too
  12. Now lift the handkerchief and place the thalipeeth on the hot tava remove the handkerchief
  13. Ads the some oil from the sides and steam it dor 2 mins on one side
  14. Now turn it over and add some more oil and let it cook.
  15. Once cooked take it out on your plate and enjoy it hot with your desired dip, chutney,curd or sauce
