ABOUT FRENCH CHOCOLATE MACARON WITH CREAM CHEESE AND MIXED NUTS. RECIPE

These healthy homemade Chocolate Macaron are low fat and and gluten free snack. Per serving contains approximately 81 calories comprises of total fat 4 grams and cholesterol 6 mg,total carbohydrates 11gram.Healthy nuts like almond cashew, pistachios and hazelnut are used.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. For Macaron shell
  2. Almond flour 85 grams
  3. Egg white 150 grams
  4. Icing sugar 140grams
  5. Cocoa powder 40 grams
  6. Castor sugar 50grams
  7. Cream of tartar a pinch
  8. For Filling
  9. Cream cheese 150 grams
  10. Unsalted butter 45 grams
  11. Roasted Mixed nuts 1cup(pistachios, almond, cashew and hazelnut) coarsely powdered
  12. Orange zest 1
  13. Powdered sugar 50grams
  14. For garnishing
  15. Mixed coarsely grounded nuts
  16. Pearl powder spray (silver) Glo professional.

Instructions

  1. Sift icing sugar, almond flour and Cocoa powder together and keep it aside.
  2. Whisk egg whites with cream of tartar (eggs can be aged for two days.. (optional)) till frothy
  3. Add castor sugar little by little till meringue turns shiny and stiff peaks.
  4. Fold in the dry ingredients little by little and gently fold till ribbon consistency.
  5. Pipe outon a silpat and sprinkle mixed nuts on top and let it dry for two hours.
  6. Preheat oven to 120 degrees centigrade. Bake piped macron 15 to 20 minutes.
  7. Check the doness by touching the top. The feet should not move.
  8. Cool the silpat on a wired rack.
  9. Filling method.
  10. Cream cheese (room temperature) with butter well. Add in sugar and orange zest to it. Finally add mixed nuts to it.
  11. Assembly
  12. Pair Macaron shell's evenly. Fill the piping bag and pipe the Macaron shells.
  13. Dab the edges of the Macaron with extra nuts to enhance the nutty flavor.
  14. Spray Pearl powder (silver) on topto give a shiny finish.
  15. French chocolate Macaron with cream cheese and mixed nut filling is ready to serve.
