Lovely Veggie patty made with raw bananas, soya chunks and potatoes. Healthy and tasty. Add some Veggie raw salad and voila, ready with a yummy tasty sandwich burger.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Burger Buns - 4
  2. For the patty:
  3. Raw banana - 2
  4. Potatoes - 3
  5. Onion - 2
  6. Coriander - 200 gms
  7. Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  8. Soya granules / chunks - 1 cup
  9. Spice powders :
  10. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  11. Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
  12. Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Lemon - 1/2
  15. Sauces:
  16. Barbeque sauce - 2 tbsps
  17. Mayoneese - 2 tbsp
  18. To assemble :
  19. Tomatoes - 3 sliced
  20. Onions - 3 sliced
  21. Cabbage / lettuce leaves - few
  22. Butter - 4 tbsps
  23. Salt to taste
  24. Pepper - 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut raw banana and potatoes in halves.
  2. Pressure cook with water to cover them sufficiently for 2 whistles
  3. Cool, peel and mash together.
  4. Add the chopped coriander and mix well.
  5. Boil the soya chunks with sufficient water and salt. Drain and coarsely grind.
  6. Saute chopped onions in 2 tbsps oil. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes away.
  7. Add the spice powders and coarsely ground soya. Season with salt.
  8. Saute for 3 to 4 minutes. Add it to the banana mixture. Squeeze lemon. Mix well.
  9. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a flat sauce pan.
  10. Spread cornflour o a plate.
  11. Take a cricket ball size lump of mixture in hand and flatten to make a patty.
  12. Coat the patty on both sides with cornflour and fry on both sides in the sauce pan.
  13. Assemble the burger:
  14. Cut the burger buns horizontaly. Apply butter on the inner sides. Take the lower half. Spread cabbage/ lettuce leaves. Onion slices, tomatoe slices. Sprinkle some salt and pepper. Place a patty. Pour the barbeque sauce in the middle and sides.
  15. Take the upper half and spread Mayoneese. Invert it on the lower half. And there you go, ready with a tasty yummy tummy filling burger.
