Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Saboot moong lentils / dal - 1 cup
  2. Water - 3 cup
  3. Ghee - 1 tbsp
  4. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  5. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  6. Chopped onion - 1
  7. Chopped green chilli - 1
  8. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  9. Salt - to taste
  10. Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the saboot moong lentils /dal for four hours.
  2. Add 1 cup of saboot moong lentils /dal and 3 cup of water in a pressure cooker.
  3. When cooker release the whistle simmer the gas for 10 mins.
  4. Heat ghee in a wok
  5. Add cumin seeds to crackle.
  6. Add onion n saute until golden in color.
  7. Add ginger,garlic paste,turmeric powder,chopped green chilli and saute for 2 -3 mins
  8. Add it in a cooked lentils / dal n cover it for 2 - 3 mins
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves
  10. Serve hot with chapaties.
