This is a simple oats kheer recipe. you can serve the kheer for breakfast or as a dessert after meals. Ghee gives a rich flavour and aroma to the kheer. It is very simple,healthy and so sweetly good with 3 royal ingredients like oats, sugar and milk.
Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a kadai or pan add cashewnuts and almonds and fry till colour changes slightly.
Add 1/2 cup of oats,stir well and saute for 2 minutes on a low flame.
Now add milk, 2 tbsp saffron milk and and let milk boil for a minutes.
Once milk started boiling add 1/4 cup sugar and cardamom powder mix it well .
Mix very well simmer the kheer for 2 minutes or till oats soften and cardamom powder and mix it well don't cook the oats kheer too much it will become thick kheer.
Serve warm or chilled as a breakfast,healthy dish or sweet dessert after meal.
