ABOUT Tandala chi bhakri(Rice flour bhakri) RECIPE

Rice bhakri or tandala chi bhakri with tea, curry and pickle is a popular breakfast from konkan.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 Cup Rice Flour
  2. 1 Cup Water
  3. 1/4 tsp salt or as per taste
  4. 1 tbsp ghee/oil

Instructions

  1. In a sauce pan,add 1 cup water and salt,1 tbsp ghee and let it boil.
  2. When it starts to boil,switch off the gas and add the 1 cup rice flour and mix well.
  3. Cover the pan and keep aside to cool.
  4. When its cooled,place the rice flour mixture on the plate.
  5. Add 2 tablespoons ghee to mixture and start kneading the dough.
  6. Apply little water to your hands and knead further to a smooth dough.
  7. Then place the puri on rolling board and slowly start rolling.
  8. Then,heat a pan/tava. Add bhakari in tava.
  9. Apply little bit of water on the top.
  10. Roast from one side.
  11. Put on direct flame.
  12. Take it from the flame. Apply some ghee and bhakari is ready to serve.
