This is very popular dish in north Maharashtra,Jalgaon.Kalna is mixture of jowar and black whole Urad dal.This dish is fully nutritional and testy .

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For Bhakri
  2. Jowar 3 cup
  3. Black whole urad dal 1 cup
  4. salt as per taste
  5. For peanut chatani
  6. Roasted peanuts 1 cup
  7. Roasted green chillies 3 no
  8. Garlic cloves 4
  9. Chopped coriander 1 tbsp
  10. Salt as per taste.

Instructions

  1. Mix jowar and whole black urad dal.Make powder not too rough,not too fine.
  2. Keep aside.
  3. Take 1 cup powder and add salt mix with water.Make soft dough.
  4. In flat plate sprinkle some powder and make flatten thick round bhakri.
  5. Meanwhile put tawa on a gas on medium heat.
  6. Place bhakri on tawa,powder side upwards.sprinkle water on that.Fli
  7. Flip bhakri when slightly dry upside.
  8. After completely done downside roast on gas. It will puff fully.
  9. For chatani grind all ingredients with water.
