ABOUT Routine Poori Alloo RECIPE

Aloo puri is probably India's favourite breakfast and this is my way of making it.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 bowl wheat flour
  2. Salt
  3. 1/4 tsp carom seeds [ajwain]
  4. 6 boiled potatoes
  5. 4 chopped tomato
  6. 2 tsp chopped ginger
  7. Salt
  8. 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  9. 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  10. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  11. A pinch hing
  12. Oil for frying.
  13. Coriander leaves [handful]

Instructions

  1. Knead a flour with wheat flour, salt, ajwaina and required amount of water.
  2. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a pan
  4. Add hing
  5. Add cumin seeds
  6. Add chopped ginger
  7. Add coarsely mashed potatoes.
  8. Add salt and all masalas.
  9. Add 2 glasses water and bring upto boil.
  10. Add coriander leaves.
  11. Heat oil
  12. Make small pooris and deep fry them.
  13. Serve with the potato sabzi.
