Delicious traditional breakfast from punjab. Makki or maize flour rotis are the super cherished food in winters in punjab. Crispy makai rotis are loved by every punjabi. Moreover this methi and mooli parantha made with makai flour cherished with butter/ ghee/ curd/ cream is a food that no one can deny.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 cups maize flour
  2. 1 cup grated white radish/ mooli
  3. 1 cup finely chopped methi/ fenugreek leaves
  4. 1 tsp salt
  5. Chopped green chillies
  6. Clarified butter/ Desi Ghee to shallow fry
  7. Warm water to make dough.

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the methi leaves.
  2. Grate the radish/ mooli.
  3. Take 2 cups of maize flour and all other ingredients in a bowl and mix well with your hands.
  4. Take luke warm water and make dough adding water slowly.
  5. Roll the dough into the shape of roti with your hands with the help of your palm.
  6. Heat a pan and grease it with ghee
  7. Put the roti on it and shallow fry both sides on medium flame to have a criapy makki ki roti.
  8. Serve with curd/ cream/ ghee/ butter.
