Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Urad Dal 1 cup
  2. Jowar Flour 2 Cups
  3. Methi seeds 1 tsp
  4. Salt
  5. Baking Soda a pinch.
  6. Green chilli - 2
  7. Any powders which we use for eating in rice(i used dhaniya powder,cheese butter mix,pudina carrot paste)
  8. ghee - 6 tsp
  9. mustard seeds
  10. urad dal
  11. chana dal
  12. curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Soak urad dal and methi seeds for couple of hours.
  2. If you are using whole jowar or jonnalu soak them over night.Grind urad dal and grind jonnalu separately and mix them together.
  3. Add salt and mix well.
  4. Allow idli batter to ferment overnight.
  5. Add soda and mix well in the morning
  6. Grease Idli plates and make Jonna Idli or Jowar Idli
  7. Now take a pan and add ghee mustard seeds,urad dal,chana dal , green chilli,curry leaves add all one by one and divide the tadka into 3 parts and add to each part and mix well and toss the idly in that and serve
