ABOUT Fried onion Rice RECIPE

An aromatic simple rice that tastes heavenly with any spicy gravy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Basmati rice 2 cups
  2. Thinly sliced onions 2 cups
  3. Clove,cinnamon, cardamon few
  4. Bay leaves 2
  5. Slitted green chillies 2
  6. Butter and oil 3 tb spoons each
  7. Cumin 1 tea spoon
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Wash and drain the rice and Jeep aside.
  2. In a pan add 1 tb son butter and oil and fry one cup of onion to golden brown and till it becomes crispy and keep the fried ones aside.
  3. Pour remaining oil and butter ti the pan, add bay leaves,cloves, Cinnamon,cardamon and cumin.
  4. Once they splutter add the other one cup of onions and green chillies.fry till the onions become brown.
  5. Add the rice and required sakthi,fry gently.
  6. Pour 3 cups of water.mix well.
  7. Close with a lid and cook in low flame for 20 minutes, switch off.
  8. Open after five mins.
  9. Garnish with the fried onions, coriander leaves.
