ABOUT STUFFED DATES HALWA TRUFFLES RECIPE

Dates are a rich source of healthy fiber, minerals and vitamins and can help relieve painful constipation, diarrhea and other intestinal complaints.Dates are a good source of Iron and we all should include them in our diets.Today i have given twist to dates halwa. I have stuffed coconut balls in dates halwa and presented it like truffles in very attractive way. This dates halwa truffles is not only scrumptious to eat but is healthy too. So do enjoy it guilt free.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Deseeded dates _ 1cup
  2. Milk _ 1cup
  3. Ghee _ 1tablespoon
  4. For stuffing:
  5. Coconut powder _ 1cup
  6. Condensed milk - 1tablespoon

Instructions

  1. First dry roast coconut powder till golden in colour and keep aside to cool.
  2. When coconut powder cools down , mix condensed milk and make small roundels of it.
  3. Refrigerate ready coconut roundels for 15 minutes to set.
  4. Now add dates and half of milk in the mixer and make puree of dates.
  5. Heat ghee in a wok and add dates puree.
  6. Cook for 2 minutes and add remaining milk.
  7. Cook till the mixture forms a mass in the centre of the pan.
  8. Now let it cool completely.
  9. When halwa cools down then make small balls of it.
  10. Flatten halwa balls and keep ready coconut balls in the centre and seal edges properly.
  11. Garnish with sprinklers and sesame seeds.
  12. Refrigerate again for 1/2 an hour.
  13. Serve chilled. It tastes heavenly.
