ABOUT Suji vada RECIPE

These are air fried but can easily be made by deep frying

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Suji (semolina) 1 cup
  2. Water 2cups
  3. Salt to taste
  4. 1/4 tea spoon ajwain
  5. Oil as required
  6. Boiled and mashed potatoes 1/2 cup
  7. Green chillies chopped to taste
  8. Coriander leaves chopped 1 tea spoon

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan add oil, salt and ajwain and let it boil.
  2. Now add suji and quickly mix it. It cooks very fast. Cook till it leaves the pan
  3. Take out in a plate and let it cool down. Now mix mashed potatoes, green chillies and coriander leaves
  4. Mix nicely and make a pliable dough
  5. Take a lemon size dough. Flatten it and make a hole in the center and keep in a plate and if possible let it rest in refrigerator. (Though it is optional and this step could be skipped)
  6. Preheat airfryer for 3 minutes on 180 degrees and keep the vadas in the greased bucket. Now set the timer to 10 minutes and check after that time. You can add 1 or 2 minutes more
  7. Serve with chutneys of your choice or sadabahaar tomato sauce
