Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. All purpose flour - 2 1/2 Cups
  2. Flax seed Powder - 1/4 cup
  3. Sugar - 1/4 cup
  4. Oil - 1/3 cup
  5. Active dry yeast - 1 Table spoon
  6. Water - 1 cup
  7. salt - 1 tsp
  8. Red and Green colour for dough

Instructions

  1. Add active dry yeast and sugar to luke warm water. Add some maida to it and mix properly. Cover it and keep for 15 mins till the yeast bubbles up. If the yeast doesn't bubble up it's inactive. In that case throw the yeast away and get a new pack.
  2. Add the bubbled yeast mixture to maida. Add salt and flax seed powder.
  3. Knead it for 10 mins. Knead with your palms. Stretch , pick up and throw in order to knead properly.
  4. When it's not sticky anymore, add oil to the dough. Knead it for 10 more mins.
  5. Keep it covered for its first rise for 1 hour till the dough has doubled in volume.
  6. After the first rise, punch the dough back and knead it for 2 mins.
  7. Add green colour to major portion of the dough and red colour to small portion of the dough for the ribbon.
  8. Divide the green coloured dough into three parts. Roll each portion into a 12 inch long 'snake'.
  9. Now make a braid using 3 'snakes'. Join the two ends of the braid to make a circular Wreath.
  10. Make a ribbon out of the red dough. Make small balls of the red dough and place it on the Wearth.
  11. Now keep it for the second rise for half an hour on the oiled baking tray.
  12. Preheat the oven at 180 degree Celsius. Bake the Wreath for 20 to 25 mins at 180 degree Celsius.
  13. Cool the Bread Wreath completely before cutting.
  14. Enjoy your Bread Wearth! Merry Christmas!!!
