ABOUT Paneer 65 RECIPE

A lip smacking fried paneer starter, tempered with dry red chillies and curry leaves to enhance the flavour

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For Marination
  2. 2 tbsp rice flour
  3. 1 tbsp maida
  4. 1 tbsp cornflour
  5. 1 tsp ginger garlic chilly paste
  6. 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilly powder
  7. A pinch of orange food colour
  8. 1 tsp Lemon juice
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Oil for frying
  11. FOR THE TADKA
  12. 1 tsp oil
  13. 2-3 dried red chillies whole
  14. 4-5 Curry Leaves
  15. 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
  16. 1 tsp finely chopped garlic
  17. 1 medium onion sliced
  18. 1 tsp red chilly powder
  19. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  20. Salt to taste
  21. Corainder leaves & onion slices for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients of the marignation, add paneer cubes and keep aside for 30 mins
  2. Heat oil and fry paneer peices by lifting one peice at a time and dropping it in hot oil. Fry till crispy and drain it on kitchen towel **Note: Always fry paneer in non stick paneer, else it will stick to the kadahai Do not over fry it to dark black colour as the taste will be lost
  3. Heat a kadhai, add mustard seeds, add dry red chillies broken into peices, finely chopped ginger garlic, Curry leaves stir fry for a min. Now add sliced onion and stir, add red chilly powder, garam masala powder & fried paneer cubes
  4. Add a little water to the left over marination and stir well. Now add this marignation to Paneer 65 tadka. Stir it on high flame for a min. 5. Remove it on a plate and garnish it with corainder leaves and oinion slices. (This recipe is inspiration from a cookery show on TV)
