Chocolicious cake pops Cake Pops dipped in Chocolate are a perfect and friendly dessert during Christmas celebration. If you have a leftover cake then it is a breeze to make. Crumble the cake, mix in frosting of your choice to bind the cake crumbs, here I have used nutmeg powder as the secret ingredient. Make small balls of the cake dough, pierce a lollipop stick at one end of the cake ball and dip it in melted chocolate. You can further top it with sprinklers or decorate as you fancy.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 pound chocolate/vanilla cake(leftovers can also be used)
  2. 1 cup chocolate sauce
  3. 1 cup almonds and cashew nuts crushed
  4. For Chocolate Sauce
  5. 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  6. 4 Tablespoon drinking chocolate powder or you can use melted chocolate also
  7. 1 teaspoon butter melted
  8. 1/2 cup milk or as required to adjust the consistency
  9. 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar
  10. 1 tablespoon of any chocolate spread
  11. 1/8th teaspoon nutmeg powder (secret ingredient)

Instructions

  1. Crumble the cake and add crushed almonds and cashews and 2 teaspoons milk to make a tight dough.
  2. Divide this mixture and shape into small lemon sized balls.
  3. Mix all ingredients in a bowl, listed under chocolate sauce and make a lump free batter. (chocolate sauce)
  4. Insert pop sticks inside these rounds and dip them into the chocolate sauce.
  5. Keep them at a regular distance on a foil in plate and glorify them with colourful edible sprinklers.
  6. Refrigerate for an hour.
  7. Chocolicious Cake pops are ready to serve.
