ABOUT Chocolate Strawberry Chilly Whisky Cake RECIPE

Whisky and chilly is the secret ingredient here. Do you love booze and chocolate, if yes you have landed up at the right place :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. This recipe is not only about booze and chocolate, there are two more ingredients which has taken this recipe to another level. We have strawberry and chilly added to this cake recipe. Chocolate and strawberry are matches made in heaven we all know that. This chocolate strawberry combo is delicious and amazing. Addition of whisky makes the cake boozy and a zing from the chilly makes the cake amazing. So here’s one of my Christmas and New Year special cake. The cake turned out moist, soft and spongy. Sinfully delicious and irresistible. So this Christmas and New Year party try this recipe and get impressed :wink::grin:

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Maida/ All Purpose Flour – 1 cup
  2. Chocolate chips – 3 tbsps 
  3. Cocoa powder – 2 tsp 
  4. Strawberry – ¼ cup chopped 
  5. Chilly – 1 small red chilly chopped 
  6. Whisky – 60 ml
  7. Thick Curd/Yogurt – 3 tbsps
  8. Sugar – ½ cup
  9. Baking Powder – ½ tsp
  10. Baking Soda – ¼ tsp
  11. Oil – ¼ cup
  12. Vanilla essence – ½ tsp
  13. For Chocolate Sauce: Chocolate chips – ¼ cup
  14. Cocoa powder – 2 tsp
  15. Milk – 2 tbsps

Instructions

  1. Grease a cake pan and preheat oven @180 for 10 mins. 
  2. In a mixing bowl add the curd and baking soda and mix well. Keep aside for 10 mins. 
  3. In a blender take the strawberry, chilly, whisky, sugar and blend it to a puree.
  4. Sieve the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder and keep aside.
  5. Now add the oil, vanilla essence and the blended puree to the curd mixture and mix well.
  6. Add in the flour mixture and gently fold to make a smooth batter.
  7. Add in the chocolate chips reserving few for garnish and give a gently quick fold.
  8. Pour the batter into the greased pan, garnish with few chocolate chips and bake for 30-35. A tooth pick inserted should come out clean.
  9. Remove from oven nd let it cool down completely.
  10. For Chocolate sauce : In a sauce pan heat the milk. Add the chocolate chips and heat till chocolate starts to melt. Turn off the heat. Add the cocoa powder and mix well till smooth. Your chocolate sauce is ready.
  11. Demould the cake and garnish with sliced strawberries. In a pipping bag pour the chocolate sauce and drizzle it over the cake. Cut and serve.
