Cook the rice with a ratio of 1: 2 water for 2 whistles on a high flame. Simmer for 10 mins, then cool the rice with a tsp of sesame oil.
Shallow fry the ivy gourds in oil till they are crisp and cooked.
Heat oil in a pan, now temper the mustard seeds, urad dhal, channa dhal, jeera and groundnuts.
Add the cooked rice and fried ivy gourds pieces into the tempering and mix well. Then add in salt as per taste.
Simmer the rice for a few mins.
Serve hot for best taste.
