ABOUT Lobia in gravy RECIPE

Pulses like lobia are protein rich and full of nutrients, hence very healthy. Follow this easy recipe to make this curry at home to be served with some hot rotis on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup lobia
  2. 2 onions
  3. 2 tomatoes
  4. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  5. Salt
  6. 1/4tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1/4tsp red chilly powder
  8. 1/4tsp chana masala.
  9. 1/4tsp cumin seeds.

Instructions

  1. Soak the lobia for 10 minutes.
  2. Make a puree of the onion and tomatoes.
  3. Heat oil in a cooker
  4. Add cumin seeds
  5. Add the ground onion paste.
  6. Saute for few seconds and then add the ginger garlic paste.
  7. Cook well
  8. Add salt and all the powdered masalas. Cook for few minutes with a lid on. Then add the lobia, add required amount of water and pressure cook this.
  9. Open the lid once the pressure has settled down and then Sprinkle green coriander leaves.
