ABOUT Lobia in gravy RECIPE

It's a healthy sabzi made from onion tomato gravy with some ginger garlic paste and lobia

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3 onions finely chopped
  2. 3-4 tsp oil for cooking
  3. 3-4 tomatoes grated or puri
  4. 2 tsp ginger garlic chili paste
  5. Salt as per taste
  6. 1 tsp red chili powder
  7. 2 cup lobia soaked for 4-5 hrs
  8. Dhaniya powder 1/2 tsp
  9. Chopped fresh coriander 2 tsp for garnishing
  10. Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  11. Water as per consistency of gravy
  12. Tez pata 2

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in cooker
  2. Add onions and tez pata
  3. Saute till onion turns golden brown
  4. Add ginger garlic chilli paste
  5. Add tomatoes
  6. Cook for 5 minutes
  7. Add lobia
  8. Now add salt, red chili powder and dhaniya powder
  9. Mix well and saute for few minutes
  10. Add water, cook for 3-4 whistles on high and 5 minutes more on low flame or till it cooks properly
  11. Finally add garam masala powder and fresh coriander, its done.
