Put it in a cooker with salt and turmeric powder
After 1 whistle ,simmer it for 10 minutes.

Now add tempering
Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds
Now add dry red chilly, onion, tomato and ginger.
Saute it well
Now pour the tempering in dal and cover it.
Add green chilli
Serve with chapati.
